Aquamarine

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big fruit tree grows up to 36 feet (11.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 31 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, knobbly, brown and grey bark, and inside, the dense wood is yellow-brown.

The small bunches of branches are short and thick and are covered with large amounts of large, wispy leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in yellow and grey varieties.

In early spring, it produces handfuls of large, aquamarine blossoms with needle-like petals. They are very delicate and have an intensely strong scent that smells like rainy days.

In early summer it produces small, wide fruit. The sticky washed-out orange skin is delicate and sour, and the soft light brown flesh is salty and powdery. The black seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
