Caramel Moss

This caramel and silver moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In heathlands, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very tough; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
