Golden Trumpetvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 142 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, crooked stems covered in very thick, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches are short stubs with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, broad, flat, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are cyan at the bottom and lilac with green edges at the top, tough and rough.

In late spring it produces thousands of giant, gold flowers with 6 pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a powerful scent that smells like old shoes.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
