Aquamarine Bellflower

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 54 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several flexible, crooked stems covered in fine, knobbly, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright that and are covered with handfuls of tiny, 3 pointed, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of gray-green that gradient shifts to aquamarine at the top, robust and crispy.

It produces a handful of giant, sky blue flowers with sickle shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like misty mornings. In mid-autumn it forms smallbeige, spiky-shelled seeds.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
The leaves have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
