Copperpine

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big tree grows up to 89 meters (292.0 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, slanted trunk covered in very thick, silky, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the very dense wood is gray.

The small bunches of branches trail down across the ground, covered with copious amounts of small, moss green needles. The needles themselves are resilient.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, deep green, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for making paper
