Copperwood
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized tree grows up to 52 meters (170.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 96 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in hard, wrinkled, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the flexible wood is copper-coloured.
The numerous branches are long and thick and are covered with sparse amounts of crispy, tiny, slender, pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid blue with silver lines.
In early spring, it produces many tiny, black blossoms with fan-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like pepper.
In late summer it forms giant, azure berries.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
