Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 9 feet (2.7 meters) and growing as high as 720 feet (219.5 meters).

It takes 2 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are soft and flexible.

The asymmetrical, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are beige and dark green, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of tiny dull blue flowers.
