Bluevine

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 30 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in very thick, ridged, brown-green bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is burgundy.

The numerous branches are very long and thin and are covered with copious amounts of small, wispy leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid green or white, with sky blue lines.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, lilac blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like musk.

In mid-summer it produces small, long, narrow fruit. The rough copper skin is peel-able and inedible, and the very soft light brown flesh is salty and very dry. The grey seeds are large and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

Several parts of the bine have medicinal properties.
The sap is peach.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
