Mossgrass

This short, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in sparse patches that are sturdy and flexible and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, deep green puff.

During the early summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.
