Gray-green

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In rainy mountain ranges, On trees, and In heathlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is overwhelmingly flimsy.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
