Blue Spined Succulent

This giant caudiciform grows up to 21 feet (6.4 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is gray, and is covered in dozens of rigid peach spines. The twisting, lime trunk can grow to as much as 21 feet (6.4 meters) in diameter in the middle. Its moss green and grey branches trail down across the ground and start growing three quarters of the way up the stem.

The sparse amounts of wavy-edged, circular leaves are blue and blue. They are resistant, but do not detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 34 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with cyan petals that gradient shift to light brown on the outer edge. The central disk is slate, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a delicate scent that smells like pine needles.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the lime flesh is waxy, and the indigo sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
