Eternal Spruce

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in silky, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale yellow.

The excessive amount of branches are short, thin and wispy, with dozens of twigs covered with very large amounts of large, gray needles. The needles themselves are flimsy.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, white, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
