Copperwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 341 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, crooked trunk covered in paper-thin, knobbly, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white.

The abundance of branches are very long and thick and are covered with thick bunches of smooth, miniature, needle-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either lime, or azure with gold zig-zags.

In late summer it forms tiny, bronze seed pods.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for making strong rope
