Azure Rosebud

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The thick stem is brown, and is covered in large amounts of rigid silver spines. The wavy-edged, asymmetrical leaves are azure on the sides and gold at the center. Small amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are durable, but do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with blue petals on the lower layer and cream petals decorated with dark brown dots on the inner layer. The central disk is silver, grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a strong scent that smells like candle wax.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the sky blue flesh is smooth, and the turquoise sap is thin.
