Goldenleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This colossal tree grows up to 146 meters (479.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 481 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in hard, smooth, light gray bark, and inside, the flexible wood is mahogany-coloured.

The small bunches of branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of crispy, giant, perforated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid yellow or peach, with indigo dots.

In late summer it forms giant, orange, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It blooms only at night.
