Aquamist Tree

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 34 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in wrinkled, dark gray bark, and inside, the light wood is pale brown-grey.

The branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of large, needle-like leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are azure on the sides and silver at the center.

In early spring, it produces lots of tiny, blue blossoms with finger-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like a man.

In early autumn it produces small, fan-like fruit. The clammy yellow skin is stretchy and edible when roasted; it is sweet, and the very soft azure flesh is spicy and juicy. The gold seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
