Bluebell

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 121 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many flexible, angular stems covered in hard, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are short, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of giant, asymmetrical, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in light brown, lime and sky blue varieties, resistant and waxy.

It produces large amounts of medium-sized, hazel flowers with slender, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a soft scent that smells like glue. In late autumn it forms medium-sizeddull green seed pods.
