Copperbell

This large caudiciform grows up to 102 feet (31.1 meters) tall. The narrow stem is copper, and is covered in brittle brown spines. The wide, green trunk can grow to as much as 102 feet (31.1 meters) in diameter. Its orange branches are very short and thick.

The irregular-edged, thin leaves are black and sky blue. They are delicate, and easily come away when pulled.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid turquoise petals decorated with hazel dots and a indigo central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 40 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. It has an intense scent that smells like pot-purri.

The caudiciform's skin is nearly impenetrable, the dark brown flesh is rough, and the olive sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.
