Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This colossal leaf succulent grows up to 159 feet (48.5 meters) tall. The narrow stem is red, and is covered in thick bunches of fine, deep green, hair-like spines. The smooth-edged, stiff, pointed leaves are solid dark red or beige, with peach streaks. Large amounts of them grow from the base in tight-packed layers. The leaves are light, but do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 8 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with bronze petals on the lower layer and white petals decorated with white dots on the inner layer. The central disk is aquamarine, grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 44 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like rotten egg.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the beige flesh is rubbery, and the crimson sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.


It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The pollen is extremely toxic to people but not to certain animals.
