Crimson Leaf Bush

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 33 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of flexible, slanted stems covered in smooth, burgundy bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, wispy, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of pink-red that gradient shifts to ashy green at the top, sturdy and waxy.

It produces several medium-sized, lime flowers with many layers of petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like blood. In late summer it forms medium-sizedbeige, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
