Bronze

This small caudiciform grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The narrow stem is hazel or blue, and is covered in handfuls of rigid gold spines. The thick, gnarled, bronze trunk can grow to as much as 12 feet (3.7 meters) in diameter. Its burgundy branches are tall, rigid and upright.

The wavy-edged, asymmetrical leaves are found in vivid red and dull blue varieties. They are strong, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 7 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with bright orange petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is made up of 33 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. It has a faint scent that smells like mint.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the grey flesh is waxy, and the gentle green sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.
