Copperbrush

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 150 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of flexible, slanted stems covered in cracked, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of giant, very thick, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are beige and yellow, resilient and smooth.

In early summer it produces thousands of giant, copper flowers with spear shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like petrol.
