Copper Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This small leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is faded blue, and is covered in many fine, olive, hair-like spines. The serrated-edged, thin leaves are olive and beige. Very large amounts of them grow from the base like blades of grass. The leaves are hardy, but easily come away when pulled.
It is steady-growing, taking 22 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with copper petals that gradient shift to gold on the outer edge. The central disk is light brown, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of tightly layered narrow petals. It has a faint scent that smells like chocolate.
The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the black flesh is soft, and the drab orange sap is thin.
