Aqualime Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 50 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, twisting trunk covered in hard, ridged, gray bark, and inside, the dense wood is yellow.

The abundance of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, perforated leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of gray-green that gradient shifts to beige at the top.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of large, black blossoms with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like sugar.

In late summer it produces , fan-like fruit. The smooth dark brown skin is tough and inedible, and the slightly crunchy aquamarine flesh is sour and syrupy. The orange seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It can survive a very long time without water.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
