Aquamarine Succulent
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This short cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The perforated stem is moss green, and is covered in hundreds of fine, light grey, hair-like spines.
It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of caramel grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is largely flat with many widely spaced narrow petals. It has no scent.
The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the aquamarine flesh is sticky, and the aquamarine sap is thin.
