This copper and light brown moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs.
It is colossal, growing up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is very strong; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
