Aquaflame Bush

This colossal shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 200 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of wide, straight stems covered in thick, knobbly, black bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are short, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of giant, very thick, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either washed-out green or indigo, with slate edges, robust and soft.

In mid-summer it produces dozens of tiny, vibrant purple blossoms with fan-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like rotten egg.

In early autumn tiny long, curved fruits ripen. The smooth peach skin is thick and edible when cooked; it is spicy, and the crunchy aquamarine flesh is extremely spicy and very juicy. The cream seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.
