Crimson Cactus

This large cactus grows up to 77 feet (23.5 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 4 very thin stems. Each stem is brown, and is covered in dozens of fine, intense yellow, hair-like spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 20 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are generally crimson; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered narrow petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like freshly washed clothes.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the green flesh is rough, and the vibrant blue sap is thin.
