Creamberry

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 49 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, angular stems covered in rough, brown bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are long and slender with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, 4 pointed, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either cream or pale green, with orange patches, rigid and rough.

It produces many balls of small, aquamarine flowers with finger-like petals. They are hardy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like rainy days. In late autumn it forms smallvivid red, shelled seeds.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
