Coppervine

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 105 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous narrow, curved stems covered in waxy, black bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are very long and thick with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, broad, flat, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are green and copper, tough and leathery.

In late summer it produces many clusters of medium-sized, azure flowers with fan-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like new books.
