Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, and On trees.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores.
