Burgundy Moss

Moss type: Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In rainy mountain ranges, In damp forests, and In bogs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and can spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly sturdy.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.


It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The stems are covered in large spikes.
