Caramel

This small leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The pleated stem is pink-red, and is covered in sharp spines. The stocky leaves are caramel at the bottom and hazel with vibrant red dots at the top. Thick bunches of them grow on thick, yellow-green and green branches that are very long and thick. The leaves are tough, but do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid grey petals decorated with peach lines and a vibrant red central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like ashes.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the indigo flesh is smooth, and the lilac sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
