Silverheart
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) tall. Its yellow stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 8 and are very thin and straight, and split into many branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the small, emerald leaves are heart-shaped with jagged edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.
Several tiny flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are silver at the sides and light grey at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 40 curved petals. They detach easily.
It has a faint scent that smells like rich perfume, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
