Bronze

This modest-sized caudiciform grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is brown, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible bronze spines. The curved, intense green trunk can grow to as much as 4 feet (1.2 meters) in diameter at the top. Its vivid red branches are very long and thick and start growing at the top the stem.

The small amounts of jagged-edged, sickle shaped leaves are either light grey or aquamarine, with drab purple splotches. They are flimsy, and detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with crimson petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 48 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like perfume.

The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the lime flesh is rough, and the beige sap is thin.
