Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainforests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely frail.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
