Emerald Clump Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is overwhelmingly flimsy; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores.
