Blackfire
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is thin and splits into 6 branching stems at the base, and the miniature, orange-yellow leaves are long, narrow with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Dozens of large flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with solid black petals and a bronze central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They are sturdy.
It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like misty mornings, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
