Indigo Flower
Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is very thin, and the giant, gray-green leaves are 9 pointed with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 10 cm (3.9 inches) wide, with petals that are lime in the center, blood red in the middle and indigo at the edges. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. They are hardy.
It has a delicate scent that smells like mango, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
