Bluebell

This big shrub grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 172 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has many very thick, straight stems covered in ridged, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are short stubs with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, 6 pointed, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are lime at the bottom and bright yellow with blue edges at the top, durable and waxy.

In mid-summer it produces thousands of giant, azure flowers with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have an intense scent that smells like sugar.
