Cerulean

This small caudiciform grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is yellow-green and orange-yellow, and is dotted with small olive spines. The very thick, faded red trunk can grow to as much as 4 feet (1.2 meters) in diameter. Its burgundy branches trail down across the ground.

The wavy-edged, slender, pointed leaves are lime at the bottom and bright yellow with blue edges at the top. They are hardy, but take little effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 16 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid dark grey petals and a red central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like vanilla.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the azure flesh is waxy, and the indigo sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
