Burgundy Grass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in small clumps that are light and frail and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, caramel tuft.
During the early summer, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
