Silverfern

This silver moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very sturdy.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
