Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In damp forests, In rainforests, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is very resilient.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.
