Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized, yellow-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in thin clumps that are resilient.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, blue spikelet.
During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
