Aquamarine Fruit Tree

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 54 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, twisting trunk covered in hard, knobbly, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown-grey.

The sparse amount of branches are long and thin and are covered with small amounts of miniature, wide leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either cream or subtle green, with blood red lines.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, peach blossoms with broad, flat petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have the faintest scent that smells like a woman.

In mid-autumn it produces tiny, slender, 2 pointed fruit. The crispy turquoise skin is tough and inedible, and the very soft aquamarine flesh is salty and powdery. The brown seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
