Bronzeberry

Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This colossal shrub grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 151 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has dozens of very thick, straight stems covered in rough, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, long, narrow, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are orange-yellow with blue tips, strong and smooth.

In early summer it produces thousands of medium-sized, brown blossoms with needle-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have an intense scent that smells like a man.

In midwinter pleated fruits ripen. The smooth turquoise skin is tough and inedible, and the very soft deep purple flesh is bitter and very dry. The bronze seeds are large and are located in the centre of the fruit.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The entire plant is edible and the grains areextremely sweet.
