Bloodvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 579 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, crooked trunk covered in fine, cracked, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the very hard wood is light brown.

The small handful of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with copious amounts of smooth, small, needle-like leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either blood red or green, with black streaks.

In late summer it forms giant, aquamarine berries.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
