Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In damp forests.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and can spread and grow quickly, and is extremely flimsy.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores.
