Clingvine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 12 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous sturdy, straight stems covered in very thick, wrinkled, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is gray.
The branches are short stubs with thousands of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, fan-like, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are solid pink or gold, with sky blue dots, frail and smooth.
In early summer it produces thousands of tiny, aquamarine blossoms with needle-like petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like warm milk.
In early autumn small long, tapering fruits ripen. The leathery lilac skin is tough and inedible, and the crunchy brown flesh is savoury and syrupy. The red seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
